General Info: Fourth piece completed for my Independent Study this semester. Ironically, this is my mom's favorite piece and yet my least favorite piece of the term. Perhaps that is because I am not truly satisfied with it, yet I can't stand to look at it anymore to 'fix' what I find to be wrong with it or add the details to it that I want. It could also be because I know the story behind the piece more fully than her at this point. I will add some of that story later on, but at this point, I'm not quite ready to post it.  (All I will say for now is that the violin she has belongs to this fellow: [link] )Anyhow. Constructive criticism is welcome as long as it remains constructive; I always welcome hearing other people’s ideas and opinions. However, I ask that you please respect that all final decisions in regards to a piece remain mine, as I am the artist.  Ah well, this one was a good learning experience. I definitely figured out what I do and do not want to do with some things in the future. I hate painting violins.
